About Our School
Bert Fox Community High School (B.F.C.H.S.) is located in the town of Fort Qu’Appelle, nestled among the scenic hills and lakes of the historic and beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley.
We’re home to about 260 students in Grades 8 to 12. Fewer than half of our students live in Fort Qu’Appelle — roughly 170 students travel each day from nearby farms, ranches, and communities such as B-Say-Tah, Fort San, Lebret, Katepwa, Taylor’s Beach, Edgeley, Pasqua Lake, and from the Pasqua, Standing Buffalo, Star Blanket, and Muscowpetung First Nations. Together, we form a vibrant and diverse learning community.
🏫 Our Programs
Our dedicated staff support every learner through a wide range of programs — regular, modified, alternative, and functionally integrated — along with a strong selection of elective courses.
We believe in community-based learning. Classes, whether core or elective, provide students with experiences both inside and outside the classroom. Learning often takes us beyond school walls — to places like the Treaty Four Grounds, Globe Theatre, Agribition, the Saskatchewan Science Centre, Regina Leisure Centre, Mission Ridge Ski Hill, Cypress Hills, and many beautiful lakes and rivers across Saskatchewan.
⚽ Extracurricular Life
Community involvement continues after class! We offer traditional sports for all grades and genders — cross country, golf, football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, curling, and track & field — as well as dozens of other clubs and activities.
Students can join or help start programs such as archery, League of Legends E-Sport, yoga, fitness classes, Open Gym Night, Guitar Club, Drama Club, Student Leadership Council, Book Club, Art Club, S.A.D.D. (Students Against Dangerous Decisions), cooking class, literacy bingo, and more.
💭 Our Motto
“Think, Believe, Become.”
We think Bert Fox is a great place to learn, we believe in one another, and we work to ensure everyone can become the best version of themselves.
